The LAUNCH – Year 4 Introduction to the 11+ introduces students to the logical thinking and reasoning skills that form the foundation of successful 11+ preparation.
Throughout the Summer Term, students will explore a wide range of reasoning and problem-solving challenges, helping them develop the ability to recognise patterns, think logically and approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.
At this stage, the emphasis is on developing thinking skills rather than exam technique. Students will learn how to analyse problems carefully, identify useful strategies and apply structured reasoning methods to reach solutions.
Through guided teaching and interactive problem-solving activities, children will strengthen their analytical thinking, resilience and curiosity, building the core skills that support future learning.
LAUNCH forms the first stage of the Rocketology 11+ Preparation Series, providing the thinking skills and problem-solving foundations students will build upon in the VOYAGE Year 5 Developing the 11+ Skillset reasoning course.

The LAUNCH course focuses on developing the core reasoning and problem-solving abilities that underpin success in 11+ preparation.
Across the term, students will:
• develop logical thinking and analytical reasoning
• practise recognising patterns and relationships
• explore problem-solving strategies and structured thinking
• strengthen attention to detail and accuracy
• build confidence tackling unfamiliar challenges
• develop resilience when approaching complex problems
Lessons are designed to help students understand how to think through problems step by step, building the reasoning mindset needed for future 11+ preparation.

Led by: Highly experienced, fully qualified, and fully vetted teachers.

Class size & grouping: Each group is limited to a maximum of 10 children to ensure personalised attention, effective interaction and progress.
