VOYAGE: Developing the 11+ Skillset - Year 5 Sunday Exam Prep

Price

£1,280.00

The only Sunday 11+ programme in Surrey led by a fully qualified teacher and 11+ specialist, delivering a 10-year, 100% offer rate.

Year 5 is the most important year in 11+ preparation. It is where strong foundations are built, knowledge is embedded, and pupils begin to develop the strategies needed for exam success. Rocketology’s Sunday Exam Preparation Course is designed for pupils who are ready to deepen their understanding across English, mathematics, and reasoning, while gradually introducing exam-style thinking and technique.

This is not about rushing into papers too early. Instead, pupils work through carefully structured sessions that focus on secure knowledge, accurate methods, and clear thinking—ensuring they are fully prepared for the demands of Year 6. Across the terms, pupils will cover a wide range of 11+ content, while building confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills. Every session is led by a fully qualified, experienced teacher, ensuring teaching is precise, responsive, and aligned to selective school expectations.

At Rocketology, preparation goes beyond practice papers. We combine:

  • Expert teaching (fully qualified teachers, not tutors reading scripts)
  • Structured, scaffolded learning developing confidence, independence, and thinking skills

Our goal is simple: to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence your child will rely on in Year 6 and beyond.

What Makes This Course Different

This course is built around how pupils develop towards success in the 11+, not just short-term performance. We focus on:

  • Strong Foundations First – Secure knowledge across core topics before increasing speed and pressure
  • Clarity Over Speed – Pupils understand methods deeply before applying them under timed conditions
  • Thinking Skills – Developing reasoning, problem-solving, and independence
  • Confidence Through Mastery – Pupils know what they are doing and why

OVERVIEW

The Year 5 stage of 11+ preparation requires more than practice—it requires strong foundations.

Each session focuses on building understanding, applying methods accurately, and developing clear, structured thinking.

Teaching is explicit, structured, and responsive. Pupils are guided through a clear learning cycle—teach, model, practise, apply, review—ensuring they understand not only the content, but how to use it effectively.

By the end of the course, pupils will be able to approach English, mathematics, and reasoning with greater confidence, apply methods consistently, and begin to manage time effectively as they prepare for Year 6.
