Step into a world where reading becomes an adventure! Our Bookonauts reading club —designed for Years 3 and 4—offers a unique, engaging approach to reading and comprehension. Across 10 interactive, hourly online sessions per term, your child will discover the magic of stories while building essential comprehension skills.
This term, we will explore The Wild Robot by Peter Brown—a wonderful tale of survival and adaptation set deep in an isolated world.

Each week, children read a set number of pages independently, ready for the next session’s interactive activities:
Summary Sprint: Each session begins with a student-led summary of the week's reading, developing concise speaking and listening skills.
Quiz Quest: Children put their comprehension to the test with a fast-paced quiz to keep brains buzzing, covering a range of comprehension question types.
Vocabulary Vault: We unlock ambitious words from the chapters and engage in targeted vocabulary-building activities.
Plot Twister: A focused exploration of characters, themes, dilemmas, and emotions, promoting critical and creative thinking.
Imagination Station: We wrap up each session with a creative challenge, ready to be shared and celebrated next time.
