VOYAGE - Year 5 Developing the 11+ Skillset

Year 5 is where 11+ preparation becomes more focused and structured.

VOYAGE is designed to be completed across the full academic year, allowing children to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for selective school entrance examinations over time. Learning is carefully sequenced across the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms, ensuring pupils build secure foundations before progressing to more advanced concepts and exam-style application.

Throughout the programme, children strengthen their understanding of English, mathematics, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning whilst developing the study habits, resilience and confidence needed to tackle challenging questions independently.

Lessons balance explicit teaching, guided practice, discussion, problem-solving activities and exam-style tasks, helping pupils build both subject knowledge and the thinking skills required for success.

Led by a fully qualified and highly experienced teacher with an exceptional track record of preparing pupils for selective school admissions, VOYAGE provides rigorous preparation within a supportive learning environment.

By the end of the programme, pupils will have developed the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress successfully into BOOST, Rocketology's Year 6 11+ Performance Programme.

Both the Autumn and Summer term includes the ORBIT Assessment, giving a clear picture of your child's strengths, development needs and next learning steps.

Programme Structure

• Tuesdays, 5.15pm-6.30pm (1 hr 15 minutes per lesson)

• 10 lessons per term

• Additional ORBIT Assessment sessions in the Autumn and Summer terms to monitor progress and guide personalised next steps

Fees

• £550 per term

• £50 deposit to reserve your child's place (deducted from the programme fee)

• Remaining balance invoiced before the programme begins

• ORBIT assessment included (if applicable for that term)

• All learning materials and resources included

Progression

• Priority enrolment for subsequent terms is offered to existing VOYAGE pupils

• Progression into BOOST, Rocketology's Year 6 11+ performance programme
